Distribution board replacement
The distribution board is the centre of the installation: every circuit in the building runs from it, and the protective devices and breakers sit there. Replacement means taking the older board down and installing a new one in its place.

What the work involves
- The existing board and the circuits running into it are reviewed.
- A new board is installed and the wiring reconnected.
- Circuits are labelled so it is clear what each breaker controls.
- The power is off while the work is carried out, so timing is agreed in advance.
Useful to have to hand when you get in touch
This information makes it quicker to assess the job:
- The age of the board, or when it was last renewed if that is known.
- Whether it is a flat, commercial premises or industry.
- Whether the power trips regularly.
- A photograph of the board if you can reach it.
